How interior pricing works in Hyderabad
Hyderabad studios quote in three ways: per square foot of carpet area, per item, or as a turnkey package. Per-sq-ft rates are the most common headline — you will see ₹1,200 to ₹2,500 thrown around — but the number only means something once you know what sits inside it. Electrical points, false ceiling, lighting, plumbing modifications, appliances, transport and cleaning are excluded from some quotes and included in others.
Our turnkey rate of ₹1,200–₹2,500 per sq ft covers design, 3D visualisation, civil and electrical work, carpentry, modular units, installation, polish and handover cleaning. The position within that band is decided by three choices: plywood grade (commercial vs BWP), hardware brand (generic vs Hettich / Hafele) and surface finish (laminate, acrylic, PU or veneer).
What actually moves the number
- Storage volume — every extra wardrobe foot is material and labour, not just design.
- Kitchen shape — an island or U-shape costs 30–50% more than an L-shape of the same length.
- Stone and glass — quartz tops, back-painted glass and mirrors add both material and machining cost.
- Lighting design — layered cove, spot and ambient lighting needs more points and a better electrician.
- Bespoke pieces — hand-made furniture costs more than modular units but fits the room exactly.
How to compare two quotations fairly
Ask both studios to price an identical scope — same rooms, same material grade, same hardware brand — and then compare the exclusions list line by line. Check the payment schedule (nobody should take more than 50% before work starts), the warranty period on workmanship, and whether electrical and ceiling work is inside the number. If a quote cannot be broken into items, treat that as a warning rather than a convenience.
